Air Force Medical Service (AFMS) Virtual Library OpenAthens Self-Registration Form

This OpenAthens account provides off-network access to the high-quality, evidence-based medical, nursing, and allied health information resources provided by the Defense Health Agency (DHA). It can also be used as a workaround to access library resources when experiencing problems with direct IP access while on the DHA network. Only those listed below are authorized to register.

• AFMS service members
• Service members in a medical-related Air Force Specialty Code (AFSC)
• Civilians or contractors stationed at a U.S. Air Force medical-related facility to include research institutes and laboratories, environmental health centers, schools, and training activities, etc.
• Volunteers at a U.S. Air Force medical treatment facilities involved in direct patient care

Authorized users must register for OpenAthens with their health.mil or us.af.mil email address.
