Apply for a Hospital Sisters Health System OpenAthens account

OpenAthens (or MyAthens) is a mechanism for logging into Library online content, which is now required to access full-text materials. You can use your OpenAthens account from any device with an internet browser.

To register, you must:

Be affiliated with Hospital Sisters Health System.
Supply a valid number: HSHS employee ID, student ID, physicians national provider ID or dictation number.
Supply a valid email address to activate your account.
Register on-site using a HSHS network computer or off-site using a HSHS affiliated email address (hshs.org, sjcs.edu, springfieldclinic.com, prevea.com, familyhealthassociates.net, prairieresearch.com, prairieheart.com, gboncology.com)
